Styling Your Shots

FROM COLOR PALETTES TO FOOD PLACEMENT, THERE IS SO MUCH THAT GOES INTO CREATING A BEAUTIFUL FOOD PHOTO.

Some say if you can style your plate than you can style your photo. Well for all styling isn't that easy of a task so here are a few small tips to keep in mind when faced with doing so.
Don't be ashamed to search on blogs or pinterest for creative ideas, everyone captures inspiration from somewhere! Stick to color palettes that complement one another, whether it be on the food or on the plating you'll be using. Best use to avoid surfaces that reflect too much light unless you are working with natural light alone, as studio lighting can cause a glare. A easy and quick fix is to use nature as a part of the image styling, it'll add a nice variation of color to the photo.
Styling is only as difficult as you make it. Its a trial and error game, you must keep doing it and changing up how you do it, until you find unique style you like to use. This will then reflect in your imagery, making color tones and overall feel of the images more cohesive.
